Friday Funday

Yesterday’s post was such a hit; let’s have a re-run! Having a little walk on the lighter side…for now.

This brings back many memories.  Especially since this is the one song I can think of that even gets those demure, no-dance-clause, Southern Baptist women off the wall to boogie.  Get down, ya’ll!

What songs do you like to boogie down to?

  2. Oh Happy Friday. LOVE posts like this. Ruth, you got a hardy laugh out of me with your Southern Baptist women line. 😀

I have so many I like to ‘boogie down’ to — but this one came to my mind first. I’ve lived on or near the beach most of my life, but currently living in the foothills of the mountains. So when I get to messing all the sensations of sun, sand, wind and water, I put this tune on.

  3. I don’t know if this will get those Southern Baptist women moving, but I can’t sit still when I hear this.

  4. BTW, the song has nothing to do with being a virgin. From what I understand, it’s about a guy being so big, she’s “like a virgin”.

I don’t know why, I just want to strut every time I hear it.

This was kind of my jam (Secretly of course because I was such a “good girl” then.) while I was in my twenties.

Yeah, I know, there’s a sexual theme in my favorite songs. “Could it be SATAN?!”

    Chicks dig sex too!

  7. @ Ruth, it was linen, wasn’t it? Aw, that’s what I get for being lazy about scripture. That’s actually a plus for me because when I first deconverted I often quoted scripture to Christians on atheist blogs to prove how messed up the Bible is. I’m glad to see that I don’t care as much as I used to. Sorry about that though. Hope you and the Brit have a great weekend!

    • I dunno. I think she went in search of wool and wore silk. She was a genius on the spindle with either.

She was too busy bringing home the bacon and frying it up in a pan. The whole while she never let her husband forget he was a man.

      Or something like that.

You guys have a great weekend, too!

  8. Geez, that’s embarrassing! Haven’t checked my account in half a year and when I do I like my own comment. Sorry, Ruth, my phone’s acting strange. Have a wonderful Christmas and the like! Happy Heathen Holidays.

    • Ha! Some comments are just so good it’s hard not to like them. Even if they are our own. (I’ve done it, too. How embarrassing!)

This heathen will certainly have a Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year! Hope you are doing well. Happy Winter Solstice!
