Actually, I kind of like it. Or at least, something like very like it.
Thing is, I think living well really is the best revenge. Among other things, it’s self-aiming: the fact that I’m doing well is only likely to annoy other people if, well, if they’re not very nice people. Plus, it keeps my energy focused on areas where it will best serve me anyway.

Yeah, okay. But that’s not you sitting back waiting in hopes that you get to watch someone who hurt you get theirs. That’s different altogether.
If my living well annoys someone who hurt me I’m likely to never know that and even more likely not to care.

“If my living well annoys someone who hurt me I’m likely to never know that and even more likely not to care.”
…And in that case, you’re doing it right.
But… yeah, I think the approach I’m espousing is only superficially similar to what the graphic is saying.

Matthew 6:14-15
“For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” NIV
Revelation 6:10
They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” NIV
Cognitive dissonance is just one of the many treasures of the Bible! 🙂
